Your data
Delete your account
This page exists so you can have your data deleted without installing
the app, and without asking anyone’s permission. Both routes below delete the same
things.
From inside the app — immediate
Open Mintproof and go to Profile → Delete my account. It removes your
sign-in, your email address and your binder backup, and clears the binder from that
phone. Nothing is queued and nobody reviews it.
If you have never signed in, there is nothing on our servers to delete:
a guest’s collection lives only on that device. Clearing the app’s data or
uninstalling it removes it.
By email — if you cannot open the app
Write to support@mintproof.cards from the email address on
the account, with the subject Delete my account. We reply to
confirm, delete within 30 days, and write back when it is done.
If you write from a different address we will ask you something only the account
holder could answer before deleting anything. That is deliberate: a deletion request
nobody checks is a way to delete somebody else’s collection.
What gets deleted
- Your Firebase sign-in record, and your email address with it.
- Your binder backup — collection lines, custom portfolios and your want list.
- Any subscription entitlement held against the account.
What is not ours to delete
- Your subscription. Google Play and Apple hold it, not us. Cancel it in your
store account, or it keeps renewing after the account is gone. Deleting the account
does not refund anything.
- Aggregate usage counts. Anonymous event counts carry no account, no email
and no device identifier, so there is nothing in them to find and remove. They are
described in the privacy policy.
- Scan photos. There are none to delete. A photo is sent to the recognition
provider to identify the card and is never stored on our servers.
Retention
Deletion is immediate through the app and within 30 days by email. Backups roll off
within a further 30 days, after which no copy remains.
